This is Speckles our muse and favourite hen. She has survived two dog attacks, fox attacks and snake coop invasions. At one stage she was the last hen standing and she became very attached to us. Now she is living her best life with a flock of younger hens, to which she is unequivocally at the top of the pecking order. Our Speckled Hen cushion is not just an extremely cute chicken cushion, that has a relaxed and cosy, country style, but also represents survival and resilience.
We have two options of cotton inserts for the cushion filling. Our alpaca fleece inserts come from local alpacas that are owned purely as pets. The alpaca insert is quite dense, ideal for sitting in either on a chair or on the floor. It still looks good on display on the couch. The duck feather inserts (ethically sourced from China by an Australian company) have a plump full look that really shows off the designs.
