These adaptable birds are commonly seen in Australian cities, especially Sydney. They are native to Australia but only in the Top End of the country. A pair escaped from Taronga Zoo in Sydney and immediately began colonising the city. The population grew and they have worked their way up the coast and are now in Brisbane. Some people call the Bin Chickens, but we think they’re the most beautiful and unique street birds.
