The WildGarden studio is partially surrounded by subtropical jungle so Carpet Pythons are frequent visitors. We are always delighted to come across one of these beautiful snakes. They are lithe and majestic with rippling muscles and fine scales that create unique and beautiful patterns from head to tail. These charismatic reptiles are non-venomous and play a very import ecological role as one of the top predators in this environment. They are a fabulous rodent controller too. Not everybody likes snakes, but we think these ancient are wonderful and at the very least should be respected.
We have two options of cotton inserts for the cushion filling. Our alpaca fleece inserts come from local alpacas that are owned purely as pets. The alpaca insert is quite dense, ideal for sitting in either on a chair or on the floor. It still looks good on display on the couch. The duck feather inserts (ethically sourced from China by an Australian company) have a plump full look that really shows off the designs.
