This is a very young Tapir because it has stripes. As it gets older the stripes will fade and it will be pure black with a white saddle. There are actually four species of Tapir, three from South America and one from Malaysia. All of these wonderful, gentle, long-nosed jungle dwellers are terribly endangered due to habitat destruction.

Embroidered on European linen 47X47cm. Machine washable, preferably in a bag, hot iron with steam, becoming even softer after each wash.
